The best medical drama Advantages: Always full of drama and excitement Disadvantages: Some of the medical jargon is hard to understand ER is an American Hospital Drama following the lives of the Doctors and Nurses inside and outside of the emergency room. ER started in 1994 and is now in series 15 in America and I would imagine it will start again in the UK in the new year - most likely on More 4 and Channel 4. I would struggle to pick my favourite series of ER as they have all been excellent. The early days with George Clooney and Co. were good as were the middle years with Noah ... ...since they have left the ER - still not sure whether George Clooney will make a return though I doubt it! Although I don't always understand all of the medial jargon used it does not spoil my enjoyment of the show. I think ER is far better than any UK medical programme as it is always full of drama and excitement! Dream Team Advantages: Great plots, easy to get into even if your not a footy fan Disadvantages: the long breaks inbetween series I have been watching Dream Team on and of since it started from series one, most of series 7 i never watched, and i missed half of series 8. Dream Team is now in its 9th series, at the end of series 8, long standing Harchester player Karl Fletcher (since the show started), was killed in a scuffle with manager Don Barker, and most of the team were killed in a crash caused by Don (who got himself killed also). I've heard people criticise Dream Teams ... ...the decision to bring former Dream Team actor and one of the shows most popular characters Linda Block back as chief executive. To conclude, i think the shows on the up, with a fresh injection of new needed characters, in its 9th series people are starting to wonder if they are going to run out of storylines, but for now Dream Team is doing well. Temptation Island UK, what it all means? Advantages: Hopefully vicariously, people can see/learn how bonds of emotion and intimacy are made. Disadvantages: The motives and futility of 'trying' temptation work against the couples involved Temptation Island UK is a TV show about 4 couples who go to an Island to be apart from their mate and be tempted by 12 single people. Very interesting entertainment psychologically with a slight sizzle of tantalizing sexuality. The very act of putting yourself in a position to bond for 12 days emotionally and physically with single people when you are involved with another person reckons to stupidity. Alone time with others = bonding. So there should ... ...either of you for that. Anna, I think overall when I think of myself in anyone's shoes in this same situation, on Temptation Island, I would only hope I would have been like you! Them bones, them bones, them dry bones Advantages: Easy watching Disadvantages: None Bones is one of my favourite TV series'. The credits state that its based on the books by Kathy Reichs, however, even though most TV programmes/films are a bit different to the books, Bones is completely different. The main character, Doctor Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel), bears no resemblance to the character in the book, except that she is a forensic anthropologist. Usually this would annoy me, but the books are well written and good to read, ... ...and quite dull, whereas in Bones they dont try to blind you with science, its there but it doesnt take over the entire show. Bones has quite a lot of comic moments which lighten what could sometimes be a dark programme, which is one of the things I like, it doesnt take itself too seriously. ... Max Power- Engineered to raise Hell! Advantages: Great storylines, Amazing action, Kick ass female Disadvantages: none Dark Angel Dark Angel series created in 2000 is one of my passions on DVD. I first saw the series on Channel 5 late one night and i couldnt stop watching it after the very first episode. Now i own both seasons on DVD box sets. dark Angel was broadcasted on channel 5 and Sky and even though it was nominated for a Golden Globe it sadly got cancelled after two series from low budgets and low ratings. As created by James Cameron his reputation did ... ...The Story and info Dark Angel follows a girl called Max Guevara played by Jessica Alba. At the start of the season we see a young girl aged 9 escaping with 12 others from a military based hospital. We find that they are not normal children as they can jump extremley high and take down soldiers twice their size. Alot of questions arise as it suddenly cuts and takes us 10 years on to 2019. Max is now 19 and is living in Seattle.
