Let me start by saying that I think Sky's products are the best there is and the best value for money. I took out the TV, broadband and phoneline package and think that this package offers great quality for the price.

Me and my brother done "Introduce a friend" which meant that me and him both received £75 M&S vouchers. Then I took up the unlimited broadband free for 6 months deal along with the basic TV package. So, initially I will be paying £32.25 a month for TV, unlimited broadband, free evening and weekend calls and line rental.

The TV package has a few channels that aren't included on Freeview such as Sky 1, FX, Gold and MTV, as well as a few HD channels included like Sky 1 HD. Also I get Sky Anytime+ which has a big library of programmes that I can watch whenever I like. For this you will need unlimited broadband as the programme are watched over the internet but on the TV. Currently you need Sky Broadband for this service but soon they will be making this available even if you have another broadband provider. This is all for £20 a month. However, I am considering changing to the Entertainment Extra package (when i sort out my signal problems) for another £5 a month because it includes a lot more channels (basically everything except movies and sport).

The installation of the dish was free, as was the sky+ box, however this does vary at different times so it is best to check at the time.

The unlimited broadband was free for 6 months (think this deal ends soon), then will go up to £7.50 a month (if bought with TV package) after that. However, I would recommend Unlimited Broadband (£7.50 a month) if you plan on watch TV through the internet as the Everyday Lite (free) won't allow you to download many TV programmes if you plan on using Anytime+.

The broadband speed is good, it allows fast downloads and browsing, although I do live in a town centre so can't comment on rural areas.

We don't really use the landline phone much but needed the phoneline for the broadband so the free evening and weekend calls is all we will ever use, and at £12.25 a month line rental it is cheaper than elsewhere.

So why only 3 stars rating? I have had problems!! Firstly the satellite dish was put up by the sky engineer facing a tree which results in hardly any signal being received on most channels. The sky engineer saw this was the case while installing it but told us WE would need to move it to get a better signal or pay for them to come back another time. Then the phoneline and broadband were finally connected 4 days after the date they were supposed to be. In this time I phoned up Sky customer services and they said they couldn't help because they were updating their database and said to ring back in 2 days!! So nearly 2 weeks on I do have a phoneline and broadband but still receive a bad signal on the TV.

This is the problem I have found with sky, when everything works it is great! But when there are problems they are not a good company to deal with and their customer services are awful!! I have lived in a few places with sky tv and found this to be the case everywhere i have lived!! And whenever I have spoken to anyone at sky they have been of little help
