Advantages remembers history; can delete and edit sent messages; video, call, and text functions
Disadvantages can have lag at times
Skype is the most well known program used for video chatting. Other types of cummunications are available as well such as calls, or text chatting.
Using the video feature you are able to talk with any friend, anywhere as long as they have an internet connection and skype installed, which is a free program. There are no time limits on calls and quality is decent unless you have caveman internet.The text chatting feature is what I most commonly use. It works in the same way as every other chat. Examples being facebook, AOL, or gmail chat. The benefit of using skype, is the ability to quickly send files and, it saves you chat history, all of it. I have messages sent up to a year ago still in my history. This may seem like a burden to some people, as we all say undesirable things, but Skype also has the features to edit or delete messages you have sent.
