Daisy is the newest member and is desperate to fit in, even though Chloe is distinctly unfriendly to her at times. Throughout Daisy's first year at the school, the girls plan ever-more elaborate sleepover parties for their birthdays.
Advantages: Funny and ADDICTIVE. Disadvantages: Expensive in hardback, maybe a bit boring4some
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is a Jacqueline Wilson fan - but even if you're not and you're looking for a good ADDICTIVE read, I think I would probably shove in your face a book by Jacqueline Wilson like this one. It's about five girls - Amy, Bella, Chloe, Daisy and Emily - and they form a club called the Rainbow Girls because of their names. Have you noticed? If not, look now to avoid being confused.
Anyway, the ... ...had a sleepover for her birthday party. And so it continues until it comes to Daisy's turn. You see, she has a special needs sister. She can't walk or talk or feed herself. And the thing is, Chloe is really mean so she would tease her about her disabilities. But as it turns out, Daisy actually DOES have a sleepover because Daisy's dad puts up an old neglected tent for the girls to sleep in. [With cushions, of course!]

Anyway, the club gets into a little party routine: well, first, Amy had a sleepover for her birthday party.
In the night, Chloe (the dead mean one) wets the bed and the girls find out and get her back for being horrid (tease her) and Emily, who was Chloe's best friend, and who Daisy really liked, had Chloe out of her mind with FURY when she teased her. Chloe went off to play with the other girls, whilst Daisy became best mates with Emily.
Right - overall, I thought that this was a good book which I might like to read again, or, even better, a sequel to it, but that's just my opinion. Why not read it yourself and find out? That's what I suggest! [The subject of this story isn't at all boring, but if you have slightly different taste from me then you may find some parts fairly uninteresting.]
Advantages: Really funny storyline. Disadvantages: Does not take quick readers long to read.
This book tells the reader the story of Daisy, who has recently changed schools, and of her story trying to fit in. But the sleepover she is allowed gives her the opportunity to become on of the gang. A brilliant book, which will make readers laugh and at the same time cry.
If your child is moving school I would definately recommend this book, as it makes you remember you are not the only one who is left out, and things will improve.
This book ... ...Is a very good book to be read aloud before bed time. More suited for girls, but any younger boys would also thoroughly enjoy this book. If you have read any books by Jacqueline Wilson before, you will love this one, as it is written in her distinctive style. ...

Sleepovers is a really good book written by Jacqueline Wilson for young girls from the ages of 9-14. It is about a young girl called Daisy who you can feel involved with, she makes friends through sleepovers and birthday parties. It is a typical group of girls including the bossy, shy, fat and mean one which will make you involved as you understand what it can be like. This makes it really funny and will get you wanting more! I read it when i was ...

Advantages: detailed, descriptive, not too long Disadvantages: can be slightly hard to follow
based on her adventures; ""The Story Of Tracy Beaker"", ""The Dare Game"", and ""Starring Tracy Beaker"". I have read all three and think they are splendid!
She has also wrote four books based on three individual best friends Ellie, Magda and Nadine, ""Girls In Tears"", ""Girls In Love"", ""Girls Out Late"", and ""Girls Under Pressure"". I'd say these are for the slightly older readers, and are too superb.
I also love some of the younger books like ""How To Survive Summer Camp"" and ""The Bed And Breakfast Star"", as well as ""The Suitcase Kid"" and ""Sleepovers"".
Some of JacquelineWilson's latest books, like ""Kiss"" and ""Love Letters"", are certainly based at the more advanced readers, but are still as equally as amazing as her others!
""Double Act"", ""Tracy Beaker"", ""Girls In Love"" and ""The Illustrated Mum"" have all made ...
