Advantages: Easy to use, works great, many settings Disadvantages: Slightly expensive, gel pads lose adhesive quickly
I had my reservations about such a device like the slendertone as i have been told in the past that they do not work for everyone. This was soon changed quickly when my friend bought one and said that it was brilliant. This made me go out and buy one of which i was definately not disappointed! The device is extremely simple to use, with a heart monitor and different settings for more intensities. A simple up and down arrow is utilised for increasing the intensity which you can then find a suitable and comfortable setting for the user.
The feeling at first is rather strange, something which can only be described as a slight vibration at the lower intensities until it increases to around 30 which is when you can feel it more as it contracts your abdominal muscles which is easily gotten used to after a few tries.

Advantages: small, discreet and easy to use Disadvantages: £150 plus need to replace pads
I bought one of these belts direct from Slendertone about 4 weeks ago.
The idea was to trim up a flabby, 4 times stomach surgery belly, along with a good diet and other exercise - I hate those abtoner things. I didn't expect miracles but I needed help.
£150 was a lot to pay, but hey, you've got to try it. There are two types of belt, one for men and one for women. The belt straps round your abdomen, with three gel like pads attached. A small power unit then makes the pads vibrate, and exercise those muscles. The first time felt a little uncomfortable, but now I'm used to it. Occassionally the unit beeps at me, and I need to adjust the belt to make sure that pads are attached properly. Other than that no problems.
Now, for the sceptics out there - I've followed a low carb diet for 12 weeks, swum twice weekly, and used ...
Advantages: actually works within 2 weeks! Disadvantages: money
The Slendertone System Abs Belt is a very good device for getting rock hard abs. Not to sound too much like an advert here, I will tell you that the belt itself is very expensive, however if money is of no limit in buying a fitness belt, then this is the 1 to go for. I have tried many others such as the Maximuscle belts which only twitch your muscle fibres and do not actually benefit you in any way what so ever. Slendertone have been around for a while now and know what they are doing. Taking all of this into account, please remember that abs do not come through a vibrating belt. This is only help towards your perfect abs. Your diet and fitness regime must still remain healthy and active in order to prosper from this device.
On a personal experience note, I have used this myself and saw result in 2 weeks. You will notice that you can ...
