Having read the other reviews on here about the Slimfast soup I felt compelled to write one - namely as the last review was sometime in 2003 ! (and judging by my Slimfast soup experience, they've improved 100%25)
So, the first Slimfast soup I tried was the 'chunky vegetable' one. Priced at a extremely reasonable 1.18, I picked it up at my local Tesco and paid.
-Initial reaction- Upon opening the handy sachet, I was greeted by a pleasant smell. The soup is an orangey colour with lots of beans, carrots and other vegetables. Cooking it on the hob took no more than a few minutes, yet it felt an eternity when exposed to the wafting, yummy smell !
-Taste- The soup tasted delicious. The soup had a really nice consistency - not too think or thin and the vegetables were soft and surprisingly yummy. The soup is actually rather filling, though you wouldn't think so by looking at it.
-Other flavours-
The only other slimfast soup I've tried is the chicken and mushroom soup one, which was also delicious and filling. You would have thought that the chicken pieces within the soup would taste artificial and rubbery, but again, surprisingly, it was lovely.
-Conclusion-
Overall, I'd 100%25 recommend the Slimfast soup to anyone - be they dieting or simply soup-lovers ! I've been on the Slimfast plan for just over a week now and have lost around 3 lbs, which is an achievement for me, as I find my weight loss is relatively stubborn.
To any dieters - good luck ! x
