I have only made 2 things from the book so far,a chicken curry which was even nicer when it had been frozen and reheated and the onion bhaji's which were really, really good but for those in the know quite high in syn value. However, a lot of the curries can be made syn free comparred to 10 syns and over for a jar of curry sauce.
The book is hard back and the pages are of a high glossy finish. The instructions are easy to follow although I doubt the pictures used in the book actually relate to the ingrediants they suggest, or maybe my cooking really is that bad?
The book has quite a long section at the beginning explaining the origins of curry and all of the basic ingrediants that you will need to make the dishes in the book. It also explains the basic's of the slimming world diet in case you have not read your food optimising book!
The receipe's are one to a page, with every other one having a full page picture of the finished product. The different sections of the book are well defined: starters, salads, meat, poultry, fish, rice and lentils and pulses, vegetables and accompaniments.
The book cost me (I think) £8 from my slimming world consultant which I think is great value for money and less then other curry cook books I have seen. This book has lovely receipe's whether you are following the slimming world plan or not!

For filling snacks, try the skillet 'pizzas' or Tex-Mex tacos, or for a truly tempting salad choose between tiger prawns and asparagus or grilled calamari and rocket. Meat and fish recipes include roasted citrus chicken and pork and mango parcels, or try oven-baked sea bass with bacon and cherry tomatoes. There are some wonderfully tempting vegetable dishes, such as baked spinach gnocchi or basil and chilli linguini, while the dessert menu includes amaretti stuffed nectarines and cinnamon poached pears.Anyone interested in easy-to-prepare, full-flavoured and healthy food will find this book useful, whether they are slimming or not!
