Advantages: Fast and fun while it lasts, impressive in places (though not many) and makes a great frisbee. Disadvantages: Too short by a long way. Frantic, often to the point of frustration. Not particularly new or innovative.

As a video game jounalist of over four years, I am quite used to seeing games released that totally miss the point. Silpheed: The Lost Planet is one such game. The PS2 is supposed to be a "Next Generation" console, so why is a game that is several years old being released. The visuals within the game are poor but even more so is the collision detection during cut scenes where the game just looks like it is an initial beta copy rather than a fully fledged game. ...
