This product felt well-made and sturdy. The black finish gives a contemporary look that I am not afraid to have displayed on my worktop. The advantage of this over the stainless steel version is that it does end up covered in grubby fingerprints. ...It seems to be impossible to overcook anything with this model, extendeing the recommended cooking time from 8 to 10 hours up to 15 minutes seems to be no problem at all. It does need to be fairly full to work properly, however, this has not been a problem as I often make a full batch and then freeze the remainder. Convienient Slow Cooker! (Melding flavours - yum)

This slow cooker is well worth the investment. You can put the ingredients in before going to work in the morning, turn it on, and come home to a freshly cooked dinner. Thus far, I've learned that cooking stewing beef on high for 4 hours gives chewy results, but browning it first and then cooking it on low for 8 hours gives tender resutls with a good texture.
