Excellently written and unputdownable!

Some may find it a little too gory in places!

Excellent book!!! Although the concept of killer slugs is somewhat hard to grasp, "they are small and squirmy...how scary can they be", the actual book is excellent. Shaun Hutson is an excellent horror writer and if you've been reading the likes of Stephen King, James Herbert, and Dean Koontz...

Where? Oh all right, it's well written, for what ...

The plot.

Trash. The world's slowest moving community is terrorised by carnivorous slugs. 'They're coming! They're still coming! They're on their way! They'll be here soon! Run! Or saunter vaguely in the opposite direction! Actually, there's no hurry! Take your time! Finish your drinks! They're coming!'...

ummm... can't think of one

plot, characters, location, 'realism'- or lack of

I would feel better writing a review on the previous review, by RichardW, as it is much better written than Shaun Hutson's entire book. Indeed, the threat possibly to be posed by slowly crawling, slimy slugs, can't really be taken very seriously. In fact, in the book the threat is not even...

Over the top gore, incredibly graphic detail,

the plot is inconceivable

One female slug can lay one and a half million eggs a year – a fact which holds terrifying consequences for the people of Merton.
