My cooker is about three years old. In that time I have suffered from the following problems: two fan motors have burnt out, the ignition system failed after a terminal block caught fire, five out of six gas burners are extremely difficult to keep alight once lit and are prone to cut out without warning, and the ignition system has developed an ability to turn itself on at random. I have paid for a Smeg authorised engineer to fix the problems, unfortunately he did not sort the problem with the gas burners, I was told to push harder on the ignition knobs. Smeg take the view I should have bought an extended warranty and don't care that customers feel angry and frustrated. An acquaintance has suffered similar problems with her A2 cooker.
Wow. That's an amazing record of unreliability for such a prestige brand. We have been forewarned! Cheers, Sarah

Wow that looks like an impressive cooker with an even more impressive price. Although you have had problems it would be nice to learn some more about the cooker.

This sounds awful, what a shame after buying such a quality brand. I'm sorry for the low rating but you need to try and give as much information about the product you're reviewing as possible, even if you wouldn't recommend anyone actually buy it!
