When we decided to buy this fridge freezer (about a year and a half ago), it was purely based on the fact that it was much smaller on the outside than any other fridge freezer of this nature on the market.
It fits through a standard door and does not look bulky in a pretty standard size kitchen. Don't know where they put it all (!), but the inside is just as deep as the other makes and models we looked at, but the outer case is just so much less bulkier and more stylish than any of the others.
The other reason we bought it is that it is fantastic Italian designer quality. Not only does it look and feel luxurious, it performs well. The handles are solid metal, as is the front (not the cheap imitiation stainless steel look) and it feels nice and sturdy.
The front panel has some pretty nifty features like allowing you to put it on holiday mode whilst you're away, telling you when you should start thinking about buying another filter (we still haven't needed to replace ours), and letting you adjust temparature etc digitally. You can also lock the control panel electronically, so that little fingers can't mess anything up!
We love the ice and water features which allow you to have crushed or whole ice and cool water at the touch of a button! No more running out of ice, as this little beauty is self replenshng!
The inside is pretty deep and you can store plenty, Neat shelves and compartments mean no more hidden food and you know exactly where everything is. We found out later that there really is a purpose to the labelled compartments in the fridge, Ultra cool at the bottom really does keep your vegetable and fruit fresher for longer, and slightly warmer keeps the goodies in the snack compartment nicely chilled.
This really is a fantastic fridge well worth the money if you are into designer names and enjoy your kitchen. It definitely needs a bit of elbow grease to keep it looking good on the outside, as stainless steel needs buffing up. A quick wipe with a damp cloth can leave streaks which is not a good look!
You will be hard pushed to find this on the highstreet (we bought ours online) but it was deifintely worth buying without looking, Nothing else looks even half as good. This is what you would call a top end applicance.
