Since I have started writing reviews on the contents of my kitchen I would like to follow up by telling you about my SMEG fridge freezer yes the names funny but the fridge freezer is a serious piece of equipment that I would never be without even though it cost my mum as a house warming present over £1700 well she would not buy me any other brand as she swears by SMEG and we have always had this brand in my family home. I know what you are all thinking why spend so much on a fridge freezer well the truth is if it had not been bought for me then I would never be able to afford it. Before I talk about the fridge freezer here are the specifications for comparison.

Advantages: Looks fabulous and lasts a long time. Disadvantages: Very Expensive on the outset.
I have had my Smeg fridge for the last 5 years, Ihave it in pastel green and it looks the same now as the day it was delivered. It looks fabulous, its works great and I wouldn't get another fridge (unless it was another Smeg). The only down side to these appliances is that they cost a lot of money - in my opinion its well worth it but for some they a simply unaffordable. Another 4 people in my family also have a Smeg fridge or fridgefrezer and they all love theirs as much as I love mine. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is thinking about getting one. The warrenty didnt cost very much and it can be extended once the initial 5 years is up but I honestly haven't ever had any problems with mine. ...

Advantages: does what it's supposed to Disadvantages: very long cycle times, can be shortened but only slightly
, longer than I have seen on other products, sometimes over 2 hours long! With the fast forward button, sometimes this only reduces it to 1 hour 20 mins. The shortest cycle is 49 mins which is a reasonable time but this is only available on the synthetics 40º cycle. Even then it is only on 900 rpm and you cannot change the spin speed setting, so end up accepting it or using the separate spin cycle which adds another 15mins at full RPM.
The appliance itself is at a reasonable noise level when it is on it's final spin cycle. You can hear it while you are in the living room, but only to hear that it is on - it's not intrusive at all. It is also very stable. I have had washing machines that spin themselves out of their cubby hole, but this one stays put and will not be going anywhere at all.
