Smile Credit Card

I started out as a Smile bank account holder, which made it easier to apply for the account, plus I get better rates than I would have otherwise. For example with a current account I get a rate of 9.9% APR, without it's 10.5% (you can check comparisons with other credit card companies on the Smile website). If you're just na occasional user, and just use it as a stop gap to payday, you get 46 days interest free, as long as you pay the outstanding balance in full.

One of the best things about the card is the cashback it's 0.5%, plus as everyone knows Smile is a goodie-two-shoes company, that would never invest your money in anything unsavoury. You can check you account online, and if you have a current account with them it's quite easy to pay off (there's also a handy overall amount indicator which offsets your debit against your credit). Unfortunately due to environmental concerns you never get a paper bill, which for the occassional user is fine, but those on shopping sprees might not find agreeable.

But one nice little thing is you do get credit card cheques, so if you can't pay by card you can use these instead (eg, to an individual).

The best thing to do with this card is use it as much as possible, earn plenty of cashback, and get more interest on the current account.
