Always being a vodka drinker and for me Smirnoff is the only brand that I will drink, I was once given a bottle of Smirnoff Black Ice at a party and wasn't sure about trying it as Alcopops isn't my thing.
I was handed a clear glass bottle with clear liquid in it, the lable on the front was the Smirnoff logo in black and also written on the bottle was the words Black Ice.
The bottle contained 275ml of the liquid and it was stated on the bottle that it had 5.5% vol. I heard a lot of people compare it to Smirnoff Ice but as I hadn't tried this I had nothing to compare it to.
When I had the bottle in my hand I couldn't smell much Vodka as the small of citrus fruits were the first things I smelt.
So the taste test, well on taking my first drink I was hit with a sharp crisp taste of the citrus fruits mainly lemon and lime but as I took more sips I became more and more attached to it and found myself asking for another bottle when that one was finished.
Now if you are a clubber or go out to pubs regularly the prices will vary from around £2.70 - £3.50 on the odd occasion you may well find this as part of a happy hour promotion but in most cases it's the cheaper alcopops you will find promotions on.
But buying this in a supermarket proves much cheaper you can normally buy a pack of 12 which are on special offer at Tesco were £12.99 now £9.99 which makes it around 83p a bottle what a bargain eh.
So I think I will be purchasing a few packs of this for to have in the house over Christmas and New Year time.
I would certainly recommend if you are a Vodka drinker to try this it is a nice refreshing drink. But one thing I will say to you is make sure you drink it chilled as its not so nice when its warm.
