Snakes & Ladders is a simple game which children enjoy to play anywhere, anytime.
HOW TO PLAY
You begin at the "Start" square, and roll the dice and move your counter that many spaces. The first one to get to the "End" sqaure, is the winner. It's not all simple, because if you land on a snake, you have to go down to the square where the snake trail ends. But, if you're lucky, and land on the bottom of a ladder, you go up to the square where the top of the ladder ends. Simple!
TYPE OF GAME
It's all luck. You roll a dice and move. It's THAT type of game!
LENGTH OF AVERAGE GAME
I'd say the average game takes about 10-15 minutes. It's fun to kill some time!
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PLAYERS
None really, but I'd say 4 players, with a minimum of 2.
HOW COMPLICATED IS THE GAME TO SET UP
It's very easy to set up, you just need the board, dice and counters!
HOW ABSORBING IS THE GAME
It gets boring after you've played it once or twice.
HOW EASY IS IT TO PICK UP THE RULES?
I'd say it's easy to pick up the rules and you won't have to check it twice!
ADDICTIVENESS
It's not addictive unless you have no other games to play.
VALUE FOR MONEY
I brought my Snakes & Ladders game for £3.99. This is still about the average price and I think it's good value for money.
OVERALL
The game does get boring after a bit, but if you have no other games to play, it's fun!
