Advantages: Looks good. Generally clear and accurate directions. Internal Battery. Disadvantages: Price. Outdated maps.
The Snooper directions are generally accurate but has issues with some postcodes (i.e. sometimes can only resolve AA1 1 rather that AA1 1AA). New roads and road layouts can also cause problem as map is not updated for £5 monthly subscription (only covers Camera Updates) and a new map is around £100.
The recent destinations folder is useful, holding 20-30 places. The redirect to avoid particular areas is also a function I like and use frequently.
I use it daily, find it simple to operate through the touchscreen and have only had a couple of minor, though initially worrying, issues in the past year or so, but switching on and off has cleared these up (however not practical if travelling at the time).
I also like that the unit has internal power so doesn't need to be plugged into the cigarette lighter socket.
It does not have ...
Advantages: Gives You A Chance Disadvantages: False Alerts (but you soon work it out)
THESE UNITS ARE NOT A LICENCE TO SPEED AND I DO NOT ENDORSE SPEEDING. THIS IS MEARLY A REVIEW OF THE PRODUCT. IT IS PROVEN THAT PEOPLE WHO USE THESE UNITS HAVE 24% LESS ACCIDENTS. BY KNOWING WHERE CAMERAS ARE THE OVERALL AVERAGE SPEED MUST DECREASE.
QUICK OVERVIEW
What is a snooper?
For those of you that don't know what these great little gadgets are, they are speed camera detectors. Basically they give you a chance of saving some points, your licence and a bit of money (after initial cost). They are aimed at making drivers slow down because they know there is a camera. It's also proven that snooper users have less accidents (it says so on the box at least). Oh and they are 100% legal in the UK.

Advantages: Clear Screen, easy set up, good clear instructions Disadvantages: Cost, loading addresses without postcode

Mine came with the whole of the UK maps on a SD card, which was a major advantage for me, Previously I had to download maps from my pc to my Garmin V. You can buy a European card (which includes UK - but this is also expensive).
You can set places you go to often (home, work etc.) and other places you can find by postcode. If you don't know the full postcode, it will accept a part postcode. It also has a number of attractions already built in - which is very useful. There are very few buttons as most inputs are made via the touch screen. If you do not know a postcode, you can still use it to ...
