Snow Is My Favourite and My Best (Charlie & Lola) - Lauren Child

I got this book for my 6 Year old, as she is a big fan of the TV show of Charlie & Lola. They were doing a special Christmas offer through my Book club, so I saved some money.

All of the activity pieces are kept in a tray which is divided into sections for the individual pieces. The tray stores inside the book, which has a clear window so you can see everything inside. The story book is attached to the back of the box, and the sticker scenes are at the front of the book before the Story. So, it is all attached together which can make just reading the Story a bit awkward.

The original price for this book was £14.99. I paid £11.99 through my Book Club, but because it was on a Christmas offer I saved a couple of pounds on top of that price, so it was a really good bargain.

To sum up, this book is good for a wide age range, as young children can play with the stickers and games, and the older children can read the story. My daughter is 6 1/2 and had no trouble reading the story. The wording is very clear and in quite big writing. The pictures are bright and clear and go with the story. The story sounds like it is straight out of the TV show, so the children will be familiar with the layout, providing they watch the show.

Inside the book there are very clear instructions on how to use the activities and how to play the game. An adult is not really needed if you have older children, but if they are 6 or below, then they may need some help. No scissors are required for the snowflakes, as you just need to push the pieces out. But you may need them to cut out the snowflakes afterward.

A great fun activity book that most children will enjoy.
