When I saw this game in my local games shop I wasn't impressed by its outward appearance, however the price was right and they didn't have anything else appealing so I bought it and was pleasantly surprised.
The basic premise behind the game is that you race on your snowboard through 8 different courses at first(bonus courses awarded when these are completed) doing tricks along the way to win money in order to buy more boards. There are 6 characters to chose from who all look rather cute until they are on their board and armed with weapons such as bombs in order to nobble the competition. There are choices of boards as well which have different attributes such as greater speed and more manouverability which can be chosen to suit course you will race on.
Snowboard kids can either be played in single or multiplayer modes(upto four players can play at once) in the battle option where you race against your friends or three computer controlled opponents. There also other options which allow you to play against the clock in single player modes to rack up your best time, or shoot snowmen as you proceed along the course to gain money or play a tricks game which has a half-pipe where you can perform tricks for cash. These single player mode games hold limited appeal to me as the real fun is to be had doing over your friends on the course.
This is a hugely enjoyable game if played in multiplayer-mode (upto four can play at once) with great enjoyment to be found in slapping your best mate over a cliff or freezing them just as they are about to cross the winning line. In single player mode it is less enjoyable but still great fun. The computer opponents are pretty average on the first couple of courses but improve on the later ones which all have difficulty ratings and need different skills to complete.
This is probably a game that you will play when your friends come round and not often in between, other than to gain new boards and courses for the multiplayer mode(new boards and courses can only be won in single player mode but then used in multiplayer). However saying that, it is still a great game - if a little cutesy.
Advantages: great fun for four players Disadvantages: one player game could hev been improved
Snowboard kids doesn't sound the most exciting games and being honest the one player game was a little boring. However as soon as you gat your mates round it becomes one of the funnist or irritating games depending on yor posistion. Onr of the best thins about it is how it is handicapped and how you can go last to first or vice verser in a few seconds. There is plenty of weapons to fire at your so-called friends and even if your not the best of snowboarders ...

Snowboarding kids ia a game for the N64 which really has not been noticed by many people, It is a great game with cool graphics. The object of the game can either be a tournament, time race or a trick game, when you jump off a hill, you can do tricks in the air. This game does not take a week to complete, as you can choose 1 of 4 characters, so if you finish with one character, you can choose another. I would recommend this game for children and ...

Snowboard Kids for the N64 is suprisingly good fun. There are a choice od characters to choose from, each with different strengths and weaknesses, this is also the case with a choice of 3 boards.
There are 8 different courses increasing in difficulty, however there are extras that are revealed once you achieve a certain amount of wins and prize money.
It is not just a simple case of being faster either as there are various extras that can be bought ... ...you go faster, become invisible and knock over opponents in front of you. Single player is not as challenging as many games and while being good fun it could easily get a bit repetitve, however there is also the multi player option that has brought a lot of fun into my evening when I have had friends round. The music is quite jarring, but that can be muted, and the graphics are excellent. ...

Snowboard Kids for the Nintendo 64 is a reasonably good game, the graphics are good and so are the tracks and range of boards. It is important to remember that this game is not designed as a serious snowboarding game – the characters range from pig like creatures to armadillos. The game tracks are reasonably good, and do actually provide a challenge to the player, although once you complete the game and get the secret characters and boards the game ...
