Superb Compact Flash card

Advantages: Performance and speed
Disadvantages: Higher cost than lower level models

Having bought this card to be used in Canon EOS 20D & 40D digital cameras they are extremely rapid and much better than the lower speed Sandisk Compact Flashes or other makes. The cameras have not as yet had to stop shooting to allow the card to catch up to write data during picture taking even in rapid fire sports mode. Have had no failure with data capture and have been used in extreme temperatures, holiday in Australia (39C) and a family wedding in Austria (-10C). The cards didn't seem to lose any performance in the big changes in temperature which can occur with lesser models. I would thoroughly reccomend these cards to anyone prepared to spend that little bit extra the performance justifies the cost. Winning the card wars

Advantages: Use 2 types of cards in one camera
Disadvantages: Pricey

If like me, you've got a variety of cameras, using different memory cards, you sometimes wish there was only one format. Why? Because then you can just buy a load of cards all of the same sort, and they'd work in all the cameras. The Minolta SD-CF1 is an adapter for those with a whole load of SD (Secure Digital) type cards, who also have a CF (Compact Flash) compatible camera too. Why should I need to buy a 512Mb CF for my Minolta, when I have a perfectly good 512Mb SD card for my brand new Megxon? Well with this device, I won't of course. Although it's made by Minolta, and Minolta themselves only advertise it as compatible with certain cameras in their own range, it will in fact work with a variety of other CF cameras, including Canon and Nikon. Review of Minolta SD-CF1 CompactFlash Card Adapter

My Compact Flash Card

Advantages: Fast, Large, Effective
Disadvantages: None so far

I've been into digital photography for a while now (around 6 years) and have seen in grow from the high end being 1.2 MP to what is is today (some in excess of 32 MP). Back in the day (a Wednesday in fact), my trusty 64 MB card got me by soundly. This is not the case anymore as I am the proud owner and operator of a Canon EOS XT Digital Rebel 6.0MP. I recently bought one of Kingston's 2GB flash cards and have been incredibly pleased with my results and experience overall. It is a very fast card and the extra space is a must.
