Playing on our computers is always interesting if we have a little time to spare for.

Those who loves card games, Solitire is one among others like Hearts and Free Cells. Unlike every card games, solitire too comprises of a pack of 52 cards. The cards are suffled and deal into seven stacks. The first containing one and the seventh containing seven. In each of the stack, the first card is open and the others are reversed. So, it is very amusing to find out the card after we move the open card. The remaining 24 cards which were not distributed can be opened with the click of the mouce. Each click will open three cards and we can drag the topmost card to our required position. There are 4 empty spaces to place the four aces of Hearts, Spades, Dice and Clubs.

The object of Solitaire is to use all the cards in the deck to build up the four suit stacks in ascending order, beginning with the aces. It is a patience game and is played by most of the computer user. It is a brain teaser too and so it gained its popularity among the computer users. The best time to play is when you are tired and feel to relax without leaving your office table. Just click on to the start menue and guide yourself to the games and then Solitire. This game comes free with the Windows Explorer pack of the operating system and so every computer that contains a Windows OS will have the game.

As we know that each pack of cards consists of 52 cards and these 52 cards are of four sets, viz; Spades, Hearts, Diamonds and Clubs. We have to play the game of solitire with these 52 cards by exercising our brain. Those who are new to the cards will find the game boring as there is nothing much interesting like the jumping fighters in video games or shooting targets. But this is a brain game and those loves playing chess will love to exercise their brain with a game of solitire.

We have to drag the cards by clicking with our mouse to drop at the appropriate place. In the bottom space with seven decks, we have to arrage the cards in descending order in alternate colours whereas in the top four boxes for aces, we have to arrange the cards in ascending order with appropriate colours, i.e; in the order of A, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,J,Q & K.

Once we can open all the cards of the pack, we are a winner and if we stuck in the middle, we are loser. The cards which are dragged to the Ace box can not be brought back to the lower part of the game. But, we can move cards from the lower half to the upper halves. A finished game is one where each set of cards are arranged in ascending order in the upper boxes.

Now a quick take to how to play the game for the new users:

After opening the game, go to the GAME menu and click on DEAL. Double click any aces on the seven stacks of the board to move the aces to the spaces at the upper right corner of the screen. Then you will be able to make any other plays available on the board. When you have made all the available plays on the board, just click the deck to begin turning over the cards. You can choose option how many cards you want to turn in a single click by using the game options. Remember, the cards which lay face up on the deck are always available for the play and the others with face down are not. There are options to time your games and the game can be made more interesting and brain teasing if we utilise these options.

The cards comes in a variety of Decks and you can select your favourite from them. I have 12 decks in my game and I have a simple butterfly as my deck.

I retire in front of my PC with a cup of tea in my hand and exploring through the puzzle of these cards for a time not less than half an hour before going for the evening news. The quantum of brain exercise I do with this game is really relaxing for me and I gain the exact amount of energy as that I had when I step in to my office for the day.
