Solo is the debit card aimed at under 18s. It is linked to a bank account with the major banks that currently offer the Switch debit card. I have had my Solo card for nearly one year and I have found it to be the most useful things you could take out with you. It allows you to purchase from shops and also on the Internet. This has been very useful as it means I can buy things online which I was unable to do before. Another good point about Solo, is that it is impossible to go overdrawn on your account so it means there is no way you can be in debt. Solo is accepted in a lot of shops that display the Solo logo but I have also used it in placed that display the Switch logo. I currently have my Solo card with HSBC and the Under 19 bank account. This card goes really well with the account and offers me the flexibility I need when I make a purchase.

Advantages: Fairly widely accepted and you can pay for things with it Disadvantages: Marketed as idiot-proof but will allow you to go over your limit and be charged penalties
