We all feel the need to grow up and thats why the Solo card was introuduced, to push us one step further in that quest.
I recently obtained my Solo Card with NatWest. I am 12 at the moment and awaiting my 13th birthday eagrley. The solo card is a convienent and easy way to shop. I only tend to use my card where i see the chip & pin keypads because i have trouble keeping my singaure the same. Other than that, i have no problems with the card apart from not all shops take the card. I found that not all online retailers accept the card, although eBay and amazon.co.uk do.
My card is navy blue at the top and purple on the rest, its got the solo logo on it as well. NatWest offer Solo cards from the age of 11 where as HSBC offer a solo card from 13. Baracalys and the Woolwich also offer Visa Electron cards from 12 but Electron isn't as widely accepcted as its rival Solo.
I close this review by reccomending this card to anyone who is looking for a way to shop without the hassle of carrying wads of cash and wants a sniff of independance a little early! Perfect for preteens and a must have, essential for teenagers.

Also, the interest is very competitive with 4%, i think! Which is really good in my opinion. I don't think how i could live without nowadays!

I use one and am quite happy with it. Maureen

Solo is being faded out, and will be entirely replaced by Electron, mainly because Solo is not chip and pin enabled, so I'm a little surprised you said you only use it in chip and pin places. And I agree with aznick, got my lovely purple card replaced with a horrible blue one!
