Advantages Brilliant all rounder
Disadvantages Not one disadvantage!
Of late I have been getting a lot of headaches. I'm not sure if it's due to the sunshine, stress, change in my diet or what it is but they are really frequent. Some I think are just headaches that if I don't medicate do develop into more of a severe migraine and sometimes I know they are simply a migraine cos I am sick and feel like someone is stabbing my brain out with a fork. Just last week I had three attacks and I know that's what it is cos I was diagnosed as a migraine sufferer when I was younger.
For me when these really violent heads come over me paracetamol's and the likes simply don't work. The last attack I had I ended up taking two paracetamol's every 2 hours and it took 8 of them in total till I started to be able to lift my head off a pillow. I couldn't cry, it hurt to speak and vomiting made my head feel like it was going to explode. It got so bad I slept in my mates bed with her holding a bucket and watching as I kept dropping off and waking up screaming and after yet another night of that we went off to the chemist to ask for something to help me out as I felt unable to cope any longer. When I was a kid my Mum always had Solpadeine in the house along with a pot of sudocrem! We only ever had the dispersible one's because like I said earlier I did suffer with migraines years ago and we found them to be the only thing that worked for me. Me though, I had forgotten about them and haven't needed them in years so when the pharmacist told me about these one's being specifically for migraine and from a brand I grew up with I instantly bought them and called my Mum actually to tell her lol.
The Packaging:The box is white and with red and silver writing on it and on the front of the box there is a picture of a couple of tablets looking like their fizzing and I am told that they are Solpadeine 'Headache', Soluble Tablets and that they contain paracetamol & caffeine and that they are fast acting pain relief and that they are dual action and that my box contains 16 tablets in it. Other information on the box includes being told a bit about the product, directions for use are given, warnings and ingredients are listed and contact details for GlaxoSmithKline are given. Inside the box there is a leaflet that states much of that same information as on the box and the tablets come individually wrapped in white paper and you are told what they are clearly on them in sets of two (separate them by ripping them off through the perforated line).
