The book is split in to various sections:

Although this review comes under the more general title of 'Songs of Fellowship, it does in fact cover the book as shown in thepicture - that being, volume two. Copyrighted 1998, it was published by Kingsway Music who are a Chistian publishing company based in East Sussex. This volume covers song numbers 641 - 1150 (vol 1 covers 1 - 640; vol 3 covers 1151 to around 1500+).
The book holds a smallish number of songs, as sung in a lot of churches around the country - no, around the world. It holds a collection of songs from many different Christian song writers, some written in recent years along with some of the older more well-loved classics.
The book is split in to various sections:
1. The actual songs, in alphabetical listing in order of the f irst line (regardless of what the author has called it which sometimes differs from what the first line actually is). 2. Indexes - thematic index, where songs are placed in different areas depending on what they are about (but may appear in more than one index if the songs contains more than one theme). These indexes civer the three aspects of the Holy Trinity (Father; Son: Holy Spirit); more general areas surrounding the church, and more seasonal areas such as Christmas and Easter or those more specific to children. The next index is that of tunes, an older hymn is given a set tune or is set to an already established tune. Therefore, those older hymns (or even some newer more modern ones) that appear in this book are listed here. Coming in next are the guitar chord charts, showing all of those lovely chords by way of diagrams for those who wish to improve their knowledge or would just simply like to refresh knowledge already there Then there is a Scripture index, showing various passges from the Bible and the songs that are based on those. Finally, there is the general list at the back of all of the songs in the book, again shown alpabetically. But this doesn't just show first lines, but is also showing what the song is called if the author has named it slightly differently (for example, after a recurring line in the song/ the first line of the title). This is because some people may know a certain song by a different title to its first line, and these are shown in italics.
3. Using the computer disk. There is a computer disk (OK, CD-ROM!), holding all of the words to the songs in the first two volumes. This section tells you how to use it, but it can only be used if you have an Internet connection. These words are sometimes projected on to a big screen in some churches, making it easier for those who are in attendance to read the words in order to join in with the song being sung.
Coming in at various prices, I actually got mine for about £12.99 - ok, I never paid for it myself as I was given a gift voucher for my local Christian bookshop. But it can be bought over the Internet, no doubt for a lot less. ISBN: 0-85476-770-3.
Do NOT be confused, as my cover is actually different to the one as shown as mine is an all navy blue cover.
