Sonic is probably aimed at a younger generation of players, but is still enjoyable and challenging to older players alike.
It contains two types of mission: Dark, and Hero. This is quite an original concept because games usually follow a kind of "good guy" angle to the storyline, where you play the good guy and it is completely biased to that one "good" character.
There are 3 Hero characters and 3 Dark characters, each with their own abilities and powerups to collect. This allows for the replay of levels, with extended options for gameplay in them. Also, each character has their own set of missions, which all contribute towards the storyline.
An interesting side game of Sonic Adventure 2: Battle is Chao(s) and Chao Garden. Chao(s) are little pets that you get an egg for, and then it hatches into a small Chao that grows up and has stats and can participate in several multiplayer games. Chao(s) are influenced and grow up either Hero, Neutral or Dark. Chao(s) can be powered up with items that are collected within levels. This gives more meaning to just completing missions, as if you are raising a Chao there are several hidden powerups and items that you can collect to improve your Chao.
A very good feature is the possibility of connecting your Gameboy Advance to your Gamecube and transfer a Chao to your Gameboy Advance. This is only temporary if you do not own Sonic Advance. If you do own Sonic Advance, you can save a Chao into the Mini Chao Garden on Sonic Advance. Another good highlight of the Chao theme is the possibility to breed between Chaos. Quite a clever marketing idea, but a good idea, nonetheless!
A new character in this release of Sonic is Dr. Eggman (Dr. Robotnik's grandson). They appear to be exactly the same, and this is quite a far fetched concept as well, considering that Sonic and Tails seem to be exactly the same ages since the first Sonic release for the SEGA.
Tails makes a disappointing return in this Sonic game, as he is confined to a Mech-Style robot walker. This defeats the first concept of 'Tails', as he was called that as he has a pair of tails, allowing him to hover and move much faster than normal, in the original Sonic release.
Other new characters in this Sonic release are Shadow and Rouge The Bat, whereas Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are all original SEGA Sonic characters.
Bad points of the gameplay include the multiplayer restrictions to two player and levels that do not expand far from the path you need to take to finish the level. The rest of the multiplayer features are very good and original.
The storyline of Sonic is very imaginative and quite enjoyable. Overall the game is very upbeat and a lot of fun. I bought this game for £30 and I would pay up to £40 for it. This is an excellent game, I would recommend it to anyone who has enjoyed a Sonic game before, or to anyone who is yet to try out one of the excellent Sonic series for themselves before.

Not a bad second review at all :-) Sounds really picky, but perhaps you could put a blank line between paragraphs to space things out a bit? Would make it easier to read. Anyway, welcome to Ciao! Enjoy! Al. :-)
