Okay this is the game that has brought sonic the hedgehog and all his friends and enemys to the gamecube.

Right lets start of with whats the same well you still have Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Eggman. Again Dr. Eggman is out to get all the chaos emeralds and to take over the world so nothings changed their. Sonic still has all his classic moves super speed, roll attack and jump. Amy still annoying still trying to go out with Sonic (poor Sonic). Tails still the two tailed orange fox genius. Knuckles just wants to have a peaceful life guarding the master emerald but as useall he can't. Now Amy appears through out the game in cutscenes usally with Sonic or some member of the gang.

Knuckles has to collect the different shards of the master emerald after smashing it to stop Dr. Eggman from stealing it. So on each level you get to glide, dig, climb and punch your way through the level trying to collect the elusive emerald shards. These shards could be anywhere from inside enemys, inside boxes or just out in the open in plain view.

Sonic the Hedgehog has to go through his levels just to get to the end of the level. On the way he doesn't have to but it helps to destroy all these robots along the way and doing all soughts of tricks to get extra bonus points to get a higher score at the end of the level which means better grade but as with all the characters it also comes down to how long it takes to get to the end. The one thing that you need to keep an eye out for is the Golden bug robot (1000 points). to get more points from killing enemys is to kill them in succesion one after the other without touching the ground this includes tricks they all help. collecting the rings isn't vital but they will help later on in the game plus each ring you collect means more points so don't forget to pick some up. the rings also give powerups at checkpoints shields only but they get better. If you collect 100 rings with any of the characters in the level your playing you get an extra life up to a maximum of 99 lives. another thing to keep a look out for is the item pickups there are a few for each character and you will need to look for them to find them.

Tails is a lot like Dr. Eggman the characters are very similar to each other (what they do not the actual characters). Both characters have a giant walker for them to use which is what they use to get through their levels which they also have to get to the end of the level and receive a grade. To get points with these to you need to get to the end of the level as fast as possible and along the way you need to destroy enemys to get more points the more you destroy in one go the bigger the score you get. The rings do not really help these two characters other than the shielding at checkpoints with enough rings. Rings don't really come in to play unless you use multiplayer.

Now it's time to go to the new characters there are only two but that should be enough. Right the first one is Shadow the Hedgehog (Black not blue) and the levels for Shadow are like Sonics levels get throught he levels just to get to the end while destroying the enemys and collecting the rings. The second and the only other new character is Rouge the Bat expert treasure hunter and eventually joins up with Shadow and Dr. Eggman and does the same thing as Knuckles but not to find the Emerald to put it back together in fact there really isn't any point in her collecting them at all in the end. So after she gives all her pieces of the Chaos emerald back to Knuckles then she must find other things such as Keys to get into places.

There are a few more things to say about the game that you might want to know about the game for instance the Chao Gardens and the Chaos there is the Multiplayer for two people only and then there is the surprising end to the game but if i told you all that then what would be the use of you buying the game you would know everything about it. So the rest of the game is for you to find out for yourself if you want to which i recommend that you do plus there are a few extras that i haven't even mentioned that are quite interesting but i shall leave the rest to you and leave you with the words this game is great and will give you lots of days even weeks of fun. Plus its good for all ages well not the very young from about 10 and up.
