Yes I am one of the many people who grew up playing Sonic. Now I am not great at these type of games but as I loved Sonic so much I couldn't resist buying the only Sonic game out on the PSP and yes I was never satisfied with the small amount you could see Sonic's friends. So great I thought I have Sonic and all his buddies in my game. But then I played the game. I lost count how many times it took me to win the first race and even then I was pushing buttons like a maniac. what I miss about the old sonic is having the ability to take your time and go through the level at your own pace and yes you get less points the longer you take but you can just do it again. With this game once your opponant finishes the race the level is over. You barely have time to collect any gold rings and that if your opponant doesn't knock the rings out of you before you get to the end, I found it disapponting and not at all how I remember the Sonic games to be I would much rather play the Sonic Game from my old Game Gear. If you are a gamer who is no strainger to these type of games this review will be no help and you probably won't have a probem with the game I mean the graphis have slightly improved but still keeps in touch with the original layout and general look of the game and i'm sure you'd find it farly standard and possibly more challanging than the old ones. But if you like it simple and just like to totter along doing things at your own pace then this game is not for you. Don't do as I did and buy it just because you liked the old Sonic games.
