Advantages amazing bands, lots of booze, a fantastic atmosphere

Disadvantages It had to end, Expensive, The Fab four (beatles tribute)

Where do I start ? well i can only really begin by telling you that for any rock/ metal fan who went this was possible the best weekend ever. between the amazing bands playing, the constant flow of booze and the sense that evreyone was there for the same sole reason just made it fantastic.

Early bird ticket and Thursdays frolics:
Buying the early bird ticket gave me the oppurtunity to arrive first, a day before any band started to play. Evreyone had sense of anticipation and it wasnt soon before your pre-festival drinks were opened. So after you've put the tent up, sorted through your stuff (for me crates of lagers, and spare clothing) and worked out where your nearest toliet was. Its time to investigate. For the early bird ticket holders they open up the sight hold some disco and kareoke (metal style) for your entertainment.

Friday:
The start of the weekend even though the first band didnt start till later evreyone was in the festival mood. you could just feel the excitment. And of course the time came I quickly caught Big elf in the bohemia tent. what a start to the weekend progs new upstarts who fail to disapoint. then we were treated to battle metallers turisas, legands europe, rock 'n' rolls new generation the black spiders, my favourite of the evening Gary numan and the headliner none over than the godfarther of shock rock Alice Cooper, he just so good live he opened with schools out and the place exploded. He then proceeded to decapitate himself on stage and sing some classics before finishing off with another dosage of schools out. Evreyone says dont over do it on the first say but with something like that its impossible.

Saturday:
Waking up with a hangova and dragging myself to the stage for the first band was hard enough forgetting they were battle metals Sabaton. What a brutal start to a day that was only gonna get better. family force 5, fear factory, papa roach. But my highlight of the day was Anthrax one of the big four of thrash got evreyone moving with classic songs like caught in a mosh and i am the law, evreyone just exploded. And of course the headliner Rammstein how could you not love them. Heavey riffs, pounding drums, super hot pyros and keyboardist (flake) being thrown into a rusty bath and sparks flying all over it. The music the effects it was just amazing.

Sunday:
To my disapointment this was the last day and what one to end on I was shocked at how good CKY were, I was blown away by benjis control over the crowd (skindred), Impressed by how well madina lake coped without there bassist, Got crushed in a Bring me the horizon wall of death and raved, moshed and jumped for pendulum. But all this led up to infact the whole weekend led up to seeing the legands that are Iron Maiden. Ive seen them so many times before but this time there was a flare to them, they seemed so much more energetic and they had a new lease of life. Stadiums and festivals are definatly there strong point. amd they proved it tonight.

So the weekends over but there are a couple things to watch out for:
1).
