Advantages: Plenty of Scope for improvement
Disadvantages: You can't get one for a P.C. - shame

...In recent trials the Motorola G4 Processor for Mac (running at 450 Mhz) out performed a P.C. running 2 thats....... TWO 1Gig Mhz Pentium III processors. I don't understand why P.C. owners are son fixated with Mhz - I suppose they need to run DOS so that Windows will RUN or is that crawl. C:/> CISC - Complex Instruction Set Computing = 30 - 40 time more code to process than an equivelent RISC Processor Reduced Instruction Set Computing Go Figure And 1 Gig Mhz is coming soon. PC are going to need Liquid Nitrogen Cooled Processors Just to Keep Up If they Can... Read review

Advantages: Great Size, Excellent Features, Fab!!!
Disadvantages: Been around a little while

...I had my ibook for almost a year and just upgraded to a macbook. I loved it, the size was just right, it came packed with features and to be honest aside the processor and cosmetic changes was just as good a machine. Its unfortunate that apple are drawing the line under the power pc chips and going all out for intel as i beleive the ibook would of had more life left. It runs tiger great!, i think when leopard comes out (spring 2007) it may be different as i think apple are gearing it up for the intel chip machines but still it is a great laptop. Benefits from a RAM upgrade, mine had 1GB and ran great, the battery done almost 6 hours and i dropped it several times and it never gave any trouble. If you can get one grab one as they will be around for ages and look as fresh as ever.... Read review
