Advantages: Fast, high capacity storage. Well built, looks good. 2 year warranty, No fan. Disadvantages: No fan.
Freecom before as they've always looked a bit cheap and nasty so this would be an interesting experience. The box did feel reassuringly heavy though, a good start.

# What's in the Box?

Apart from the drive, the box contained a small light external PSU, a USB lead and a CD with some backup software.
The case is made of extremly solid and heavy aluminium with a silver plastic front piece with a sexy blue '400GB' light (yes, you can have sexy lights. Really.) at the front just to prove how big it was. The finish is excellent and I have to say, if this is anything to go by, I'm converted to Freecom. Unlike the picture here, my unit has the aluminium finished in matt black which looks really nice on top of my black PC. It's also surprisingly compact - not that much bigger than a hard drive at 20x11.5x4 cms ...
Advantages: Easy to use, long battery life Disadvantages: Small capacity
The first I want to say about this product is how long the battery lasts. I was playing around with this thing for a whole 2 days without the battery even going down under half. I later realised that the battery life was up to 45hours which is pretty incredible, considering it is longer than the Ipod touch.

This product is very thin and lightweight as well so you will hardly notice it in your pocket. It also supports ...
Advantages: massive choice of titles, built in blu-ray disc player Disadvantages: liable to overheating
I am now on my 2nd ps3 40gb console in the past 2 years and have had alot of enjoyment from them, however after moderate use (3-4 times a week for no more than 4 hours at a time) around 6 months from purchase you begin to exprience problems with overheating even when the console is well ventilated. The problem begins with the consoles internal fan running faster and so creating alot more noise resulting in the user having to greatly adjust the volume in order to hear what ever they are playing/watching on the console and after a further 6-9 months the console begins to have problems with switching on and off until it eventually loses function altogether. Despite the faults with over heating the range of extra features available on the console are fantastic including BBC iplayer, a built in blu-ray disc player which in itself would set ...
