I very quickly passed my card over and fortunately for me they were in stock well for £1900 you want it now lol and rushed home to set it up. Setting up was very easy and my friend came around to fix it to the wall so as my kid's can't reach it and then he wired up my DVD player and stuck on a disc. I was ... ...disappointed.
Sony I have found can always be trusted to supply good quality products and with this television you get the usual 1 year Sony warranty I have also covered it under my house insurance for accidental and fault repair to cover all bases. The picture quality was out of this world and the sound was unbelievable.
After watching three films straight he decided to show me the HD quality using my Sky box and that's when the television really came into it's own you almost felt as if you were there blending into the screen. I am no expert on televisions so I'm afraid I will have to list the specifications below and leave you to decide if they are important to you or not. What I can say is for sound and picture quality this television is a brilliant buy even if it did nearly bankrupt us for the month still it's my little treat first in a long time.
The huge 40" screen really is amazing and you can see the picture clearly even if sitting at an angle within the room how it works I am really not sure but it's amazing. The bulit in speakers are crystal clear but don't give the surround sound I would like so will be getting a sound system to compliment something else to beg the wife for lol.
The screen itself is almost like a glass screen crystal clear and stops all reflections from effecting your viewing. The images are super sharp and contrast and color are spot on I have never viewed a clearer re-produced picture on any television even those I tested in the shops whilst shopping around. The remote control that comes with the television is very basic and is functional but I will be upgrading to a multi use remote for all the extra's I will have linked up eventually.
The manuals and setup of the television are very good and very easy taking you through step by step but when it came to wall mounting the set I had to get a friend in who knew exactly what he was doing and it was handy having him there to set up the HD part of the television that's (High Definition) for those that don't know and that's me included lol.

Overall I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great addition to their home entertainment system very extravagant but very worth while and enjoyable. The kid's are fascinated and love watching their Cbeebies on the new screen and my eldest kid's are amazed when playing their video games on the screen. An awesome television at a hefty price but my advice is if you can afford it go for it you won't be disappointed.
