    Aesthetic appeal with great...

This stereo is an excellent choice for anyone wanting a mid to upper range stereo, which not only looks great in the car but also produces crystal clear sounds with its 50x4 output. This is above average when compared with similar systems on the market. At 169.99 GBP it also comes with a above average price tag, but well worth it considering, only a few top brands in its range can meets its technical criteria, and yet, none come no where close when you take looks in to consideration.

I also received a very sleek looking credit card sized remote control which allows the user to access pretty much all the functions it has to offer. This is ideal for me, as my younger sister has just passed her driving test, allowing me to sit in the back and still have total control of what I listen to. As any system, it has the essential line outputs for the front and rear, in addition, the system allows the user to add several components such as, CD/MD changers, addition remote controllers (for other components), subs, and TV screen/ DVD player.

The CD control playback also contains the text of the album, even if it's a homemade compilation, which displays song and artist title and scrolls along the screen or can be simply turned off to enjoy the graphics. Another prominent feature of the system is how quickly it can obtain the names of tracks especially when playing of an MP3 CD. This was quite astonishing when compared with friends, who all have other leading CD MP3 head units.

Also volume controls and functions are thoughtfully laid out, as when driving the only controls I use are the volume and next track, which conveniently happen to be the most the most dominant and visible part of its control panel. This makes life easier without having to fiddle around while driving. As far the radio tuner is concerned, there's nothing new or special here, its dose what nearly all radio tuners do, it allows users to scan frequencies, save specific stations and display the station name, with an option interrupt playing with broadcast traffic updates.

The most impressive part of this system is the active display. When the stereo is in use, it plays movies of things like surfers, snowboarders and a quality video of the xplod logo. It really does give this system an excellent look, especially in the dark as the blue neon like graphics illuminate the car's dashboard.

It comes in a medium sized box (roughly the size of two shoeboxes), and am pleased to say it comes with everything you would pretty much everything you would expect to need. The unit itself, the wires, the cage including the tools to take it back out, and the remote control.
