I bought this Sony head unit for my partner exactly 1 year ago as a christmas present and I can only say that I made an excellent choice.
I bought this model because I had already bought a sony for myself a few years earlier and it had lasted me a long time with no major problems.
This model looks great in her Fiat dash board and I'm sure the stylish silver finish would look good in most other modern cars.
The Sound quality is excellent, even at loud volumes where the top notes and the bass remains clear. You also have a selection of equaliser options to choose from.
The choice of functions is good to and if you can use either the radio - FM/MW and LW or CD. There is also a usb input which can be used to play music directly from a usb stick. Alternatively you hav an aux input at the front (standard headphone jack size) which allows you to connect your ipod.
The product has been very robust so far, no problems or loose buttons etc. No skipping CDs.
Finally the price should be very affordable, I bought this for around £100 1 year ago and the price is fallen even lower now so if you shop around on the internet I'm sure you could get this model for a very reasonable price.
