The retail on a new monitor is $300. The refurb value is $220. I snagged this one for $99 from uBid. I'm not disappointed in the least! :)

My version of this monitor is actually a refurbished Dell-branded Trinitron, but that hasn't diminished my feelings for this monitor!
First and foremost, I can't praise the sharpness of the images enough! This has helped the strain on my eyes so much I might actually go from 20/30 to 20/25! Might not mean much to you, but when you spend close to 70 hours a week staring at a monitor, that really helps! The 0.25mm dot pitch is the major factor behind this - you can't get any better than that these days.
Secondly the feature set is awesome! I particularly like the fact that I can actually get the picture to fill the whole screen, edge-to-edge. I can't stand the black mask around the edges of the monitor which prevent you from using the whole picture. I also like the fact that you can lock down the features so that others can't mess with them (helpful when you have little ones that like to push as many buttons as possible when Daddy slips away to the potty for 30 seconds!).
The only thing I didn't like was that setting the color was a bit difficult. Short and sweet, is exactly how you might describe the Multiscan 200PST from Sony, a Trinitron monitor with new shortened CRT, with advanced technological features making it ideal for demanding professionals. Sharp focus, almost flat screen, excellent pure color depiction, improved convergence setting; all features which will help you see your work in a different light. The Multiscan 200PST also performs par excellence in the area of environmental ergonomics. It is not without reason that it meets the strict TCO'95 guidelines. With all the advanced technological features, user-friendliness naturally also has to be included in the picture. And that's why Digital Multiscan has been refined even further to provide you with the simplest of connections. And the new ASC (Auto Sizing & Centering) function means that you can adjust image position and size at the same time. All in all the 200PST is a perfectly designed, advanced monitor, which will be a feast for your eyes.
