I have owned the monitor approx 18 months and have the following opinions. I got this monitor as a package with my MeshPC when I purchased it and I beleve the price was approx £225 at the time. Display quality has remained excellent throughout my ownership with no deteriation in the excellent sharpness, colour and contrast. However as other reviewers have pointed out there are 2 thin black horizontal lines which are sometimes visible when you have a white window open (only if you look quite hard). You seem to notice this a lot at first but over time you don't really notice it. Apparently the lines are actually which are part of the digital display helping to reduce flicker. This effect isn't to bad as it is only really visible in word, excell etc. where you have large white spaces (in my case). Overall build quality is excellent with the plastic casing being made using quite thick plastic with a convieniently placed on/off switch. However one niggle is the video cable which is part of the monitor and can't be unplugged. This is of concern as if it breaks it would have to be re-soldered inside the monitor. All in all I would say that the monitor is very well designed and the looks of the monitor are still as good as when it was new, unlike some displays which are a little to trendy and date badly. I would not hessitate to reccomend this monitor as a general use monitor due to the robust design and excellent picture. However the visible lines may make it a poor choice for people who wish to use it specifically for 'office work' where word processing and spreadsheets are used as this is when the effect is most visible.

Hi,
Thanks everyone for the comments. I am still a bit new to this and have edited the review to include price and what type of user should consider the product.

Very technical! If I can gently suggest a bit more info would probably get you higher ratings. For instance, you don't say whether its horribly expensive or not(I have a flat monitor but it came with my PC)sylvie
