This camera is heavily based on Sonys' previous camera the T10 and shares most of the same features.
The big feature that you first notice on this camera is a lack of buttons present. This is because those buttons have been incorporated into a touch screen display to give to camera a less cluttered look. The touch screen buttons are nice and large so you can easily see what you want to use. The one main draw back is that certain feature you may want to use are a couple of 'layers' down in the menu meaning you have to use mutliple button pushes and navigate the menu which can be annoying whereas, with a more conventional camera it would just take one button push. The LCD screen of the camera nearly fills the rear of the camera which is a big bonus for this camera as it means you can easily see what it is you are trying to take a photo of without having and also allows you to review the pictures you have taken properly and displays the colour very vibrantely. The screen also incorporates a technology called "transflective" which means that the screen can still be easily viewed even in direct sunlight which is a very useful feature.
The one draw-back with the hugh LCD screen is that is prone to fingerprints and obviously with the touch screen you cant help but get fingerprint marks but that said it easy easy to clean with a quick wipe of a shirt.
The lens itself is Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar which is the standard for sony cameras and produces a very clear and rich image. It produces images that are sharp acros the entire picture with very minor saturation on some picture which could alway be rectified at a later date with a decent piece of software.
The camera has nearly every kind of shooting mode you could want. One of the most impressive is the super-macro mode. This acts like a magnifying glass and can produce some stunning, intimate photos. The hardest part of using this feature is ensuring there is enough light on your subject.Overall I feel this is a cracking camera, full of features and also looks very stylish and fashionable, which could be a big bonus if you like you gadgets to look fashionable.
