My redone review of the Sony Cybershot D770, the first one was utter crap.

The D770 is the flagship in digital camera today sporting a wide array of features and an incredible pixel quality at 5 mega pixels (5 million pixels.) If you are one of those people who just cant let go 35mm film then this is the camera for you which not only takes pictures like a 35mm but looks just like one.

Wheter you want to use this camera for pleasure or for professional shots, it suits both options ideally.

Like with most digital cameras today the D770 sports a crystal clear LCD screen on the rear of the camera which not only allows you to view photos just taken, but also allows you to edit and crop the picture whilst on the camera. The featurs include, cropping, editing, colour changing, deletion and much more.

The camera has a 5x digital zoom, i cant tell you how far that is but its about as good as a snipers scope, which is either a professionals dream, or a perverts dream which ever way you look at it.

The camera also has an excellent flash which pops out of the top of the camera when you press the snap button, or flick the little button to do so. The only problem i find with flashes on digital cameras is that it can reflect of surfaces and ruin your photos, or make them look tacky.

Night shot is also a cool feature. Like night vision goggles, it turns night into day by adding a green hue to the image. I personally can not see any reason for this on camera, but its really cool and as a man i love useless additions such as this.

You can also record about a minute of video footage, depending on your memory stick. The camera comes with a 64 meg stick which can hold roughly 40 5 mega pixel pictures but plenty of small ones. If you are going to be snapping all day then a bigger memory stick is advised, but be warned they cost around £100 for 128 megs.

The camera also has a quick load and quick snap function meaning that you wont have to fiddle around and wait ages to snap a photo when you need it. This also goes hand in had with the camera fast shutter speed.

Now to the bit that doesnt sound to great. The D770 will set you back a whopping £700 at the moment. This may sound like a lot, and yes it is, but let me assure you this is an excellent investment and if you will using it to snap important stages in ones life such as the new child, then this will save you hundreds if not thousands of pounds in film and developing costs.

Thanks for re-writing this just when I was looking at all the digital camera ops, since my boss wants to get a new one. Well done, but it looks like this one won't be on our shopping list.

Nicely done and a lot of effort put into it. It presses all my wallet buttons. Cheers (_8-(|)
