It takes the typical Sony memory stick, and with a large memory stick you can take a long video, I used it to video the fireworks display at Disney World's Epcot Center and it turned out great, you could hear the fireworks exploding, was really neat to watch on my computer screen, a little difficult to share on the camera, but do-able. I love using this camera, it's fun and easy to use. Nice big LCD makes its easy to review your shots. The zoom is great, it's amazing how close up you can get to things that are far, far away. It's autofocus kicks in sometimes when you don't need it, but otherwise it's great. You can use different lenses, and it tells you when you have the lense cap on. You can zoom in really close and you can capture moving objects with it's rapid shutter, if your batteries are fully charged, the shutter gets sluggish when your batteries get low, but using regular AAA batteries you can easily find in just about any store, you can be sure to keep on shooting, even if you don't have your recharger for the rechargeables. It's a handy size, big enough for large hands, but small enough it can fit in your pants pocket because the lense retracts into the camera when it's off. It also has a movie mode and sound with a volume control. This camera is well worth the price and if you are really into photography you can get tele-photo and close up lenses and really go to town. With 7.2 megapixels your pictures can be fantastic in detail.
