I bought this camera as I was looking for a relatively cheap, easy to usedigital camera. I only require point and shoot capabilties as it is only used to take holiday snaps of the family! Having been using it now for a few months I can honestly say I would recommend it. It's size is great and the photos it takes are so much better than my last camera. The only problems I have found so far is the battery life indicator seems to stay on full for ages then rapidly drops to empty and turns the camera off, this can be annoying if you haven't packed spare batteries! Also the flash doesn't seem very strong - unless the subject is close up the picture will be dark. Apart from these two minor issues the camera is wonderful and so easy to use - definately recommended to all techno - phobes.

Sorry but I'm sure there's so much more you could have said. My advice to you is that you take a look at other peoples reviews to see how you can improve upon your own, and the more comments/ratings you give other people the more likely you are to get them back! Welcome.

Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500
Advantages: This is the best camera one can get especially if you are on holiday and want to take as many photos as possible! Disadvantages: You cannot do a poster of AO size unless you have to have a 4gig card but then probably this camera will not support 4gig i suppose.
