THE CAMERA When I opened the box I was surprised at how small the camera was (89mm x 55mm x 21mm), I have not had a new camera in years and it took a bit of getting used to since I'm used to large awkward ones, I suppose this its ideal when you don't want to carry a bulky camera round with you. It also only weighs 140grams. It has a metallic case and a very compact look about it. It has a 2.5 inch LCD monitor. The lens is a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens. There is a noise reduction system and colour optimisation. There is a light on the camera that comes on whilst charging and goes off when the charge is fully complete. It took me around 4 hours to fully charge it from dead.
The camera boasts a maximum image resolution of 3072 x 2304 and a meg-pixel banding of 7 - 7.9 pixels. It has a 7.2 mega pixel cyber-shot, a 3x optical zoom and a 6x digital zoom. It has an internal memory of 58mb (which fits around 250 images) but you can expand on that if you buy either a memory stick duo or memory stick pro duo which you insert into the camera slot next to the battery. It has a built in flash. One of the cameras high points is its ability to reduce blur. It has super steadyshot and optical image stabilization.
It has a fantastic light sensitivity feature, ISO 80, ISO 100, ISO 200, ISO 400, ISO 800, ISO 1000, ans ISO auto.
There are a lot of diferent shooting modes such as Frame movie mode, twilight, landscape, snow, beach and hi speed shutter. There are also quite a few special effects like sepia, black and white and neutral. there is a maximum shutter peed of 1 second.
USING THE CAMERA You turn the camera on with the power button on the top, you use the directional keys to navigate through the menus. When first turned on you will be prompted to set the date and time, this is used to determine when you have taken photos. There is a mode switch so that you can choose between a still image and a movie. You can zoom in or out, set a 2 or 10 second timer, turn the anti blur feature on or off, Have a look at your last shot with Quick review, turn the flash on or off, Use a magnifying feature for close-ups and adjust the exposure. You can view, delete and playback images and movies. You can connect your camera to a TV set with the cable provided.
You have the ability to customise the size of the image.
Still images 3:2 - Match 3:2 optical ratio 6:9 - display on a 16:9 HDTV 2m - up to 10x15cm/4x6" print 3m - up to 13x18cm/5x7" print 5m - up to A4/8x10" print 7m - up to A3/11x7" print VGA - for email

When I entered the menu to customise the setting for shooting pictures I was overwhelmed with all the options, I am not a gadget person and it took a lot of manual reading and some practice to get the hang of what does what. There are a lot of options you can change before you take a photo such as the brightness, the focus method, the quality, amount of flash, the sharpness, the contrast, the color tones and plenty more.
You can connect the camera to your pc with a USB cable, it will only work though on windows Xp home and pro, windows 2000 and windows millennium edition. If you have an earlier operating system you will not be able to connect and use it. The software does not work on MAC's.
My overall opinion of the camera is that its fantastic, being so small it fits perfectly into a pocket, it has a cool design and sleek, shiny look. It is not cluttered with too many buttons. I am amazed at the amount of different things that you can customise to your liking, the pictures are clear and full of colour, compared to my old camera that took crap pictures.
I would definitely recommend this camera to all buyers of any age, once you get used to its controls and menus its really simple.

What an absolute dream piece of equipment this camera is! I'm a media student and I need to get a camera, a friend of mine recomened that I buy a cyber shot, so I did. I bought it in black (looks slicker in my opinion) and it is an absolute joy to use.
I could bore with lists of all the settings and functions, but there are so many we'll be here till judgement day. When I buy any piece of equipment I like to have a go without looking at the manual, ... ...an hour of opening the kit (I got a memory card, battery, carry case and cleaing kit but that was a special offer) I was fluently pushing buttons, setting options and playing with knobs like an pro. Its that easy.
For those of you just after a point a shoot camera its really good, literally you just point and shoot, the camera automatically decides the level of flash, motion equailser (anit-blur) and red eye filter, and the picture quiality is awesome. ...

Advantages: Small, light, good battery, many features, good quality pictures. Disadvantages: Smaller LCD screen.
The Sony Cyber-shot T10 is a great little camera. I've bought a newer Cyber shot but I still prefer using this one at times as it is much easier to access all the different features and you don't have to be a technology whizz to know how to fully make use of all that it can do. It's small, light and great for just throwing into your purse on your way out. The LCD screen is not as big as the new touch screen Sony Cyber-shot's but it's strong and big ... ...adjust color mode for the creative results you want so if you enjoy photography and like experimenting with different modes you'll love this one. The battery power lasts long and the timing feature which tells you how much time you have left on the battery is spot on and this has helped me in the past. It won't let you down! ...

This camera was bought with intent of taking actions shots (mainly of my dogs) and landscapes and was easy to use for a ‘point and shoot’ photographer. It is good looking, very compact, well designed and sits easily in my (small) handbag. Battery:
The battery life is reasonable and charges fairly quickly. There is a car charger available on eBay which is great for trips and easy to use. Cost: I bought this on eBay hoping to cash in on the currency ... ...still worked out about £40 cheaper.
Picture Quality: The picture quality is great for straight forward pictures but I have found that you need to fiddle with settings for different types of pictures for the best output and this can take a bit of getting used to unless you are an experienced photographer. There is no ‘eye’ viewfinder, only the large LCD screen. This was initially good however the slowish shutter speed means that the dog, which I ...

It was great with the pixel
and it has an amazing shoot when it's in dark
I ever take a pic in dawn, the result was so amazing,just like when i shoot in the day
the lens has a cover,so when it falls the lens can't be broken
But the battery is not for long use
and the lcd screen is easy get a scratch ...

Also used for university photography projects with my eldest son with great results.Highly recommended by both myself and my sons.
Only disadvantage to date for me: Not yet sure of settings for night shots that move!! Otherwise I have no copmplaints at all.
