I needed to get a new camera after my older nikon coolpix camera broke and then I lost it. I wanted a new camera however I was on a budget so I started to look for a new camera. The sony range of camera caught my attention since they are a well known and the people who own sony cybershot cameras rate them highly. I paid £70 including postage for my the sony cybershot camera which I think is very good value for what you get.
The first thing you notice with the camera is how good it looks, it's all silver and shiny, the Lcd monitor is 2.5 which is a very good size and it is very clear. The build of the camera is very sturdy, it feels well built and you can defiantly tell that they have used good materials, not just got some cheap plastic together. It feels very light and the only weight that you can feel comes from the battery.
The camera has a very good amount of features 7.2 Mega Pixels, 4 X Optical zoom, 2.5 Lcd monitor, High sensitivity ISO 3200, Face Detection and Smile Shutter HD photo output (For HD tvs and monitors). These features are all very good and work well. The only feature that other up market sony cybershot cameras have is Super SteadyShot which if you shake the camera when you take a photo then it will reduce the shake so the photo will be as steady as if you did not shake the camera.
The amount of different scene selections that you have when taking photos are incredible, their are enough to suit any shooting conditions that you will have such as Auto adjustment, Program auto, Movie mode, Twilight, Twilight portrait, Landscape, Soft snap, Smile shutter, High sensitivity iso, Easy shooting.
Use of the camera is easy and I have been amazed at some of the photos that I have taken with the camera (I will upload some of them as examples) I feel that the 7.2 mega pixels is a small compared to the other sony range but if you are only going to be using the camera for your own personal use and not for professional photography or selling your photos on, then that will be perfect for you.
The only criticisms that I have is when you are recording a home movie you can not zoom in or out. (This is only in movie mode and not while taking still photos) Also the built in memory is very poor I think you can only hold 5 - 10 photos on the memory so you will defiantly need a memory card. (I have been using a 4 Gb sony memory stick Pro Duo this is able to hold around 1500 photos) The only other thing is the battery life it says the battery can last for taking 420 photos, I have found this to not be the case and it has only been able to take 200 photos before running out of battery and it has been very annoying going out on a walk to find that the the battery life warning comes on and then it runs out of battery life.
Overall if you looking for a very good camera that has lots of value for money then this is the perfect camera for you and I can recommend the camera to you. It may well not be top of the range but for what you get it's in it's own class.

I had purchased this camera from e-bay in an offer wherein I got an iPod shuffle free with it. Within a price of $175 I was getting two gadgets so I grabbed the big deal at the very first moment. My camera came to me within 3 days of placing my payment. I had the impression of it being a conventional bulky camera but when I opened the packet I was pleasantly surprised at the appearance of this cute camera. It is very light to hold and has a sleek ... ...I have is in silver color. Other color option ranging from black to pink are also available.
The camera is provided with a soft carrying case, a battery a connection cord(USB, A/V cable for multi-use terminal), rechargeable battery, battery charger, neck strap, an instruction manual, a CD-ROM and a micro-SD 2 GB card. I recently bought this camera from argos. At the time it was half price and i only paid £80 for this and it went upto its original price of £160. I thought this was a fantastic price for a fantastic compact camera. It has full 1080p capability for still images and it looks very stylish with its full metal body. It is well designed and simple to use. It has a good optical zoom (4x) and very reasonably priced for a cybershot. It has a 2.5 inch display ... ...at the instruction manual for guidance. It comes with all relevant cables and a converter to see your photographs in HD on a HD ready TV. It has a very nice leather case and is well worth the money. I really like this camera and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cybershot. This is a low priced high quality camera and well worth every penny. GREAT BUY! ...

The cam for all seasons!
This is the best choice for someone who loves catching up memories anytime,anywhere!
With it's 7.2 megapixel resolutions, pics are just in it's best quality especially if it is intended for enlargements! And it's 4x zoom lens add spice to this gadget,plus its added features like smile shutter and more! It can handle low light backgrounds too with it's D-range optimizers and High Sensitivity ISO 3200.It has 2.5 LCD screen and can read up to 8gb memory stick.Trust me, this is really reliable, so you just gotta have it too!!!
Disadvantage:
This cam is not scratch proof so you better take care of it like it is your most precious possession.
