I own this camera and for the year that i have owned it, i have been moderately impressed. Like i said nothing fancy. However what i find most impressive is the amount of options available within this camera. If your a complete new entry to the world of photogrphy then you can simply use the easy slide wheel on the camera to set it to easy mode. This mode literally allows you to point and shoot and the internal workings of the camera will do its best to take a decent picture, good times.
If however, youre like me and you like a little more control over your holiday snaps then this too is simple. Put the camera into 'p' mode and you will be able to access more complex options through the menu.
Overall, this camera is well suited for use as a generel family camera. The kids can take as many pictures of the floor and walls, and half of your face in easy mode, while the serious photographers of the family have a bunch of options through which they can manipulate images. The camera has tonnes of features including steady shot, smile detection and movie mode, all adding to the general appeal of the camera. For a camera in this price range it stands up to the competition well. A good purchase.
This camera can be found on Amazon for around £130 and for me, thats a fair price to pay. Amazon is not the be all an end all so dont be afraid to shop around as some instore prices and offers may be cheaper. High street stores such as Currys, Dixons and even local photo shops will most likely stock this popular camera.

This camera is well worth the money if you are looking for an effective but simplistic piece of kit!
The DSC-W150 can easily fit into the your pocket so you dont have to worry about storage issues!
The camera itself at 8.1 megapixels takes beautiful pictures whether you are looking to take simplistic portrait photos or perhaps long range landscape photos. The results are perfect 99% of the time!

I bought Sony W150 for my vacations and the camera disappointed me. The images aren't good quality (the percentage of good quality images is very low). When you shoot in Auto Adjustment Mode exposure is 1/40 - and it's not very good to my mind, especially when you shoot moving objects. As a result images are blurred. There is no "Sport Mode" at all :-( The ISO mode indoor is 400. You can change ISO only in Program Auto Mode. Very often images are ...

The SonyCyber-shotDSC-W55 is a testament to how far digital cameras have gone. At well under £150, the camera makes a wide range of features available for a very reasonable price.
It's true that the megapixel isn't the highest you can get without an SLR camera, but the 8 megapixel or more market really isn't necessary for all but the most professional photographers (who will probably want an SLR camera anyway).
The screen is a generous 2.5 inches, with a LCD screen as well as the old-fashioned viewfinder (don't be misled by reviews to the contrary). Colour and clarity on the LCD screen are particularly good. The 3x zoom is standard, but - and I know this is a very geeky comment - the controls are a joy to use. Even the buttons are smooth. The Cyber-shotDSC-W90 is a good selling budget camera, made by one of the leading brands in terms of digital photography and is picked up mainly by families, beginners to photography and those who are looking for an easy to use and hassle free photography experience.
The first thing that draws people towards the camera is the way it looks, stands out and the actual Sony brand name. Once they see the range and quality of the features, many are hooked and cannot help but fall in love with it. Personally, I think it is a great example of how digital photography has been brought to the masses, but feel that it is a little too basic for my own needs, hence my experience will be given from the demonstrations I have performed for customers.
