I am quite into camera's and am always looking for that perfect shot. I haven't found it quite yet, but I now that when it comes with my new Sony Cybershot the quality will be of the highest standard.

~#Basic Functions#~
When I am looking for a new camera I always look at the Megapixels so I suppose that is a good place to start. It has 5.1 Mp's which for me is ample. It allows me to view full size images on my 18" computer screen and they look crystal clear. Also the camera has an optical 3x zoom, I know it doesn't sound much but just imagine anything 3x bigger and it is normally plentyful.

However if the 3x optical zoom isn't enough for you there always is the 2x digital zoom which may be applied afterwards. After using both of the zooms the image quality is still of the same stature.

The camera come with an automatic and manual focus. However I am not very could at using the manual so it sits on automatic for most of the time, if not all. The 2.5" LCD display on the back of the camera enables quick image viewing, deleting and minor editting.

The camera is rechargable and comes with 4 x AA NiMH rechargeable battery. These have a reasonable battery life of over 6 hours. Both Memory stick pro and Memory Stick are compatable which allows you to use old memory cards inside this camera.

The siz of the camera is small for one of its size. With dimensions reading 9.1 cm x 3.7 cm x 6 cm it would fit into the smallest of handbags.

It also weighs 197g which is very light enabling you to carry around without it being any burden at all. Also its built in flash as a few functioning levels. Be weary when using these as they can be quiet blinding for those near by! As most modern day cameras it also has a very functionable red eye reduction.

The body material of the camera is black aluminium and looks extremely stylish. The camera also comes with a built in 10sec timer so you can makesure that you are always in pictures that you want to be in.

The computer is connected to your computer through the provide USB cable. Also there is a 1 x composite video/audio output which enables you to view slideshows on a T.V. I have used this function many a time as you can just sit back with friends and family and enjoy.

There are also numerous shooting modes. So far I have explored Landscape, twilight portrait, soft snap, twilight mode, candle, beach. All of them working to what they say they will.

~# Provided Software#~

The camera comes with all the required drivers to allow it work on your computer. And it comes with both Sony Picture Package and ImageMixer VCD2. I have mainly used the ImageMixer and to a great effect. THe editting capabilities are great!

Overall I would have to recommend this camera to anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-use camera. And at around the £200 price mark a true bargin if you ask me.
