This is the best camera in this price range for anyone who wants to get a decent result but has little photography experience.
Easy to understand, fab facilities, fun, looks gr8!

I wouldn't swap mine for anything! I make money with it, it produces such crystal clear superb shots, and with an exciting range of options: my fave is 'twilight portrait without flash' - I've just taken a series of exceptional christmas tree lights delayed effect patterns: this gives you creativity no 35mm can touch!

You can view past shots 9 at a time, quickly delete rubbish angles, shoot in any light. I have got fantastic twilight shots in such poor light any other camera would have capitulated.
I've nowhere near explored all this superb model has to offer but I get gr8 results every time, unless I point at the wrong thing, which is no fault of the camera!
This makes taking pix fun and daring! I take more and more arty shots daily.

I honestly can't see any disadvantages: perhaps it would be nice to take more shots before recharging the battery.
I've DROPPED MINE ONTO SOLID HARD CONCRETE 3 TIMES now and it has two small scratches and never noticed a thing!

This camera has truly taken photography to a new level for me.
3x zoom in something so neat and lightweight I can carry it all in my pocket. Flash that never wears out. Dead quick and efficient import to my laptop.

My honest opinion is this: if you don't get the best ever pix from this sony, it is not the camera, it's YOU! Maybe you don't hold the camera absolutely still for a few seconds AFTER you've taken the shot? That will make all the difference in the world for you: no camera can combat a shaky hand!!!!!!! And what about the angle of your shot? What is in the middle of your picture? How does your background contrast? Does your lighting suit your subject? Do you know what you want the pic to appear as? Can you 'frame' a pic in your eye before you even reach for the camera? Does light and shade contrast excite you? No camera can change your way of thinking about potential pix before you shoot but at least if you keep still and a steady hand and aim at some kind of subject within the concept of the 'frame' you'll get good detail!

Photography is not the camera, it's the artist. This is the perfect camera for an artist! It's perfect for me! Both indoor and out, day and night!

If you are a keen budding photographer, buy this and grin: but no camera will ever get a noodle taking decent shots, end of story!
