Considering the size of the mp's, it makes it good value for money.
The menu has large text to read and again, is simple to understand. You are not bombarded with lots of images as with each option, you are given a 'laymens-terms' description of what each option will do and why you may need it. i.e.when setting to take a photo, if you select the little snowman it will say underneath it, 'Snow'. This is probably on many cameras now ... more

Considering the size of the mp's, it makes it good value for money. The menu has large text to read and again, is simple to understand. This is probably on many cameras now but it was definately a selling point for me. The zoom range is amazing.....if only I could find something that would steady my hand more! The face recognition feature will pick up numerous faces in one photo; it will not just pick up on the closest one so everyong (as long as they don't move) will be in focus. I am not a techo-head and so am reviewing this camera as a 'techo-phob' person. In my opinion, the DSC-S930 really is a delightful little toy and I am so glad I choose it (in black - other options as far as I know are silver and pink metalic finishes).

...is cheap especially for a Sony so at first I was wary that the quality may not be that great. The camera was bought primarliy for a trip to New York in the Summer and as such I was able to test the camera in sunshine, rain, and at night. I was extremely happy with the picture quality I was able to achieve, in fact it out performed my friend's Olympus camera at night. It has 10megapixels and a 3x zoom which I found to be useable but this may not be ... ...which help give that clear image. I did notice there was no option to take pictures in black and white, or sepia, however it is worth noting that these effects can be added in programs such as Adobe In essence therefore I would reccomend this camera to a novice, a first time buyer or someone who only uses a camera occassionally as this is simple, easy to use, and gives a lot of quality for a decent price. ...
