I have two of these, one in the lounge and one in my sons bedroom. I paid £134 each from Empire Direct, there is a store near me so no shipping costs.
I would agree with the other reviews that its good value for money, and that its a great DVD player with nice sound quality, however when I plug my ipod in, the sound quality is not great. The speakers dont cope that well with constant heavy base so if you are getting one for home cinema then its excellent, but if you want to listen to loud music and like your sound to be 'crisp' then you are probably going to be dissapointed. It gets worse as you turn up the volume and while its more than loud enough for a movie its would be embarassingly poor if you were having a party!
Its nice looking, easy to operate and very user friendly but its no replacement for a decent stereo. However I have been told that if I just replaced the speakers with some better quality ones from Richer Sounds or a good specialist then it would be a match for my Technics equipment as the issue is not with the product itself, its just the speakers that are not that versatile, or rather purely for use as home cinema speakers.
It would have been nice to have one piece of equipment that covered playing DVDs and listening to my Ipod, but this isnt it.
So overall, as a DVD home cinema its great, it does exaclty what it says on the box, for a good price, but if you are looking for something that also plays music to a high standard then this is probably not the best buy,
