I bought this Sony DCR-SR62 as a gadget to document my time here in England. Initially I was impressed with the touch screen, and compact size of the handycam, and was excited about the one touch disc burn button on the cameras docking unit. Also, the zoom on the SR62 is 25x Optical and 2000x Digital, which is really quite sufficient for the average user. Unfortunately I have come across some things that are concerning me; for instance the focus on this camera seems to be easily distracted. When focusing on an object and alternate light source can really throws off the focus and is hard to recover from leaving moments of very blurry video. Another concern is the disc burning option, which I have tried numerous times only to give up after it taking into hours to burn one disc. On my unit in particular, the touch screen has stopped working; the visual is gone and is just a bunch of static...leaving the unit nearly useless.
