Advantages: Nice colour and design, has an FM/AM radio Disadvantages: None
---Introduction---
As some of you may, or may not know, I am a huge fan of Sony and many of their products. They are the first brand of 'personal' electronics that I would look at, when buying a new product. Their reliability and excellent performance has built up my trust and loyalty to the brand. I bought this mainly because it is a Sony product, I don't really look at the price because you know what you're going to get.
I get through an awful lot of travelling around in my life. I freqeuntly catch the train or jump on the coach to London, to visit my family and friends. I also travel to school by bus, which takes about an hour per day in total. I often get very bored on these journeys and they can also stress you out. My Motorola mobile phone doesn't have a radio or music playing facility, so I take my discman on these journeys ...
Advantages: Looks swish, Sounds good, Plays well, Radio and CD compatable Disadvantages: No major problems
Compatable with both CD-R's and CD-RW's, this Sony product is almost alongside the ranks of a Mini Disc player, apart from it's size of course. With it's simplistic circular design, it may still be too bulky to fit in your average pocket, but at 5.38 inches in diameter it's certainly compact considering it's carrying a CD!
The player seems to make the most of Duracel (AA) batteries and lasts for between 40 and 50 hours if they are previously unused. The SonyD-FJ401 is jog proof - it withstands a huge amount of bumping about (that doesn't mean it's safe to drop it! - I'm guessing 3 or 4 on the richter scale max.!). My only real negative comment would be the battery holder being beneath the CD slot, which means you have to take out the CD to replace them, only a problem if you're either; on the move, or losing your favourite part ...

Advantages: Packed with extras, looks good and feels good. Disadvantages: See review for the very minor con`s.
Sony are one of the newest companies to venture into the world of DSLR`s, having been producing some quite excellent point and shoot cameras for many years this is a move that most people in the photography world had expected to happen a long time ago and a lot had feared the day it did happen too.
The reason many photographers feared Sony entering the DSLR market is simply that it would be hard not to get drawn into what they had to offer but they feared that Sony might find the market too challenging and bale out leaving many photographers with cameras that they could not upgrade and would struggle to find lenses and accessories for.
When buying a point and shoot camera you are spending in the region of between 100 and 200 pounds for a top of the range model, whilst when purchasing a DSLR camera you could be looking at spending ...
