I was looking for a stereo system with a mini-disc, and lots of buttons, for under£400. The only one which matched these criteria, and caught my eye was the Sony DHC-MDX 10. The space-age design is fantastic. Basically, it is mostly shiny silver with a large digital display. The disply shows you the track names, time remainig etc, and has special effects which 'dance' with the music. What I love about this system is the range of ooptions to tweak to improve the sound quality of your music. there are also some DJ functions which allow you to do things like repeat parts of a song(like scratching a record) or 'flash' the song which turns the volume up and down. The sound quality is amazing and the speakers can produce ridiculously loud sound. Useful for listening to music while in the garden.(Just face the speakers out of the window, and crank up the volume!)

I bought this system at a very reasonably price and am absolutely content and happy with it. Let’s start off with the design, which is brilliant. The system looks very futuristic and the silver matches with its overall design. As always with Sony, the operational functions are brilliant. It’s operated via a jog wheel, which is simple to use. The system contains several extras such as DJ functions, a fully graphical display and surround functions. ... ...stabile. The MD recorder is easy to operate as well, and the quality of CD recorded MDs is excellent, well it’s digital… Considering the fact that this is a mini Hifi-system, the sound quality is extremely good. ...and durable, i know that Sony would be able to offer such a system, the sound quality of the system is exceptional and the features on it is great. From the miniDisc Recording to the differnt features for sound, such as Dance, Jazz, rock, etc. All altering the way the music sounds, tailored for the particular music that you are playing.
